Lawn Maintenance Form

1. What happens if it rains on my maintenance day?

In the event of inclement weather during the week, even if it is not your scheduled maintenance day, we will likely push all yards one day. For example, if it rains on Tuesday and we are not able to cut, we will resume Wednesday with Tuesdays schedule. In the event this is not possible, it is likely that the lawns scheduled on the rainy days will be skipped until the following week. If this does occur and your lawn has excessive growth, there will be an additional charge. We will attempt to catch up to hopefully get everyone back on schedule before the weeks end.

2. When does Eco Landscapes perform shrub trimming and fertilization included in my agreement?

Depending on the number of services included in your agreement, we perform them at different times. Most accounts with these services are trimmed: April, June, August, October, sometimes more or less depending on agreement. Fertilization and weed service is performed usually in: February, April, May, June, August, October. If you have questions regarding your service schedule please contact the office for more details.

3. How do I know if I am watering enough or over-watering?

We monitor all accounts for correct watering. If we see you are in need of a irrigation schedule change or even repair. We will notify you via e-mail or in your monthly invoice. We offer current clients reduced rates on irrigation service. If you know you are in need of irrigation maintenance, do not wait. A leaky system can easily double your water bill. Even worse, most municipalities have strict ordinances regarding water run off from irrigation.

4. When can you treat for grassy weeds?

Dallisgrass, Bluestem and Johnson grass all need hot weather for weed controls to work properly. This means 90 degrees or higher. Watering the next day and keeping a watering schedule over the next 2 weeks will lessen any damage to Bermuda grass and hasten recovery of desirable turf.

5. How can I get grass to grow in the shade?

Bermuda grass will not tolerate shade. We will normally consider St. Augustine grass for shady areas. If shade is excessive in areas, Tall Fescue grass has been our last resort turf for these areas.

6. I have Nutgrass, or Nutsedge, in my lawn. Can you get rid of it?

We have products to effectively control Nutgrass. This service can be included in your fertilization service agreement upon request. The cost is determined on lawn square footage.

7. When should I expect my invoice and can I pay online?

Invoices are generated on the first of the month. You should receive your invoice on or before the 5th. If you have not received your invoice by then please contact our office. Invoices are due no later than the 20th of the month. Late charges accrue beginning on the 21st. Any invoice not paid by 25th will be charged to the credit card on file including late charge. We also accept payments online through the online billing link. Please enter your info EXACTLY as it appears on the invoice.

8. I am looking for full service landscape management to include turf maintenance, landscape trimming, mulching, fertilization and annual color changes.

We provide full service agreements to include all of the above and more. Clients who wish to have the ease of average billing will enjoy a discount on services provided during the service agreement. Contact our staff for more information.

9. I am looking for service but do not want an annual program.

No problem! On the pay-per-service program we require that a deposit equivalent to two services be paid in advance prior to service starting. The deposit will be held open on account and applied to the clients’ final bill. All accounts must have a signed service agreement along with a valid credit card on file prior to any services being performed.

10. Pet Policy!! Read Carefully!!

We ask that all pets be kept indoors or kenneled on mowing days, as we are not responsible for pets escaping. We know this can be an arduous task, but it is best for both us and your pet(s). If it is not possible to keep your pet(s) indoors or kenneled, please notify us so that we may put a note on our maintenance list. We try our best to ensure all gates are closed, but can not assume responsibility for lost pets.

11. Cancellation or Postponement of Service

Our clients are not bound to any contract. We simply ask that you give us 30 days written notice. If you would like us to skip your lawn we require a 24 hour/day before notice. If you do not give notice and ask the guys to skip the lawn when they arrive, a $15 service call will be billed.

12. I found a broken sprinkler head or other damage after the crew left.

In the unfortunate event we damage your any of your property, simply call our office within 24 hours to report the damage and we will repair it promptly, on us.
